The first Boer breed show at the Colorado State Fair was a success! Virtually every exhibitor was a huge help and support. A special thanks to Ken Heersink for being our ring steward, Julie Adams for doing a terrific job as secretary, and a special thanks to Bunny Heersink and her 4H group for the special display that they made and all of the help they gave me!! Don Johnston and his wife Rita were good to answer the many questions that were coming from visitors. And a special thanks to those that came from out of state: Gretchen and Steve from Foxstone Farms (NM), Kim and Matt Miller from MNM Boers (NM), and Don and Liz Reed from Leaning Pine Boers (OK). I can't mention everyone, but all of the approximately 15 exhibitors, from first timers to the very experienced, were absolutely wonderful. I truly enjoyed doing the show!

The Market Goat show the week before was also exciting. This show has almost doubled in entries every year for the three years it has been held. And what an impressive group of animals!!!
