Mincey Goat Farm is located off beautiful Lake Lanier in Cumming, Ga.
Kenneth Mincey has been an established resident of Cumming, Ga since 1971. Prior to he and his family's move to Cumming, they resided in Baxley, Ga. This is where Kenneth met and married wife JoAnn and had 3 children.
Kenneth has always had a deep part in farming and livestock. Although familiar with all types of animals, he has extensive knowledge of dairy cows and Simmental beef cattle.
Kenneth Mincey (owner) and Fanie Schoeman (manager) met through a mutual associate. They make a great team! Fanie Schoeman has 3 generations of goat management in his blood. Fanie, wife Madeleine and their 3 children, Narina, Stephan and Joco moved from their home in South Africa to manage Mincey Goat Farm.

Fanie Schoeman writes:
Why did Kenneth and I make the decision to raise/breed Boer goats? Even though we were oceans apart, we both knew the following to be true;
- The consumption of goat meat is the highest of all meats in the world.
- Boer goats are highly adaptable and reproductive.
- The Boer goat's ability for speedy meat production
- Kenneth likes to do things on a big scale.
After 2½ years of selection and breeding we have a herd of over 100 high quality does plus approximately 40 young does of extremely high quality.
We offered approximately 90 goats for sale at our August '01 auction. We hope to offer about 120 high quality goats in our September 7th, 2002, production sale. We have collected semen from our bucks (Pipeline genetics) some of which will also be offered in the sale.
Yours truly, Fanie Schoeman, Manager of Mincey Goat Farm.
