The first annual Par 5 Spring production sale was held at the Central Texas Livestock Center in Goldthwaite, Texas, on Saturday April 26, 2003. Presiding over the bidding process was auctioneer Mark Tillman and his very capable team of bid catchers Kenneth, "Coach", and Mike.
130 registered buyers from 9 states were only part of the large crowd that attended the sale.
One of the attractions of this particular sale was the advance announcement that most of the animals offered had passed ennoblement inspection.

Guest consignors offered 32 lots in addition to those presented by Par 5. Guests were J&P Boer Goats, Bosque Valley, and Bates Boer Goats.

The high selling doe was lot 18, PARM Mary Alice. She is a Titan daughter and her dam is a flush mate of Gorgeous George. She has an impressive show record including 1st in Fort Worth, Grand Championships at Henderson and Houston and Reserve Grand at Duncan. Keith Berry, representing Boers Of Oak Grove, topped the other hopefuls with a bid of $8,500.

High Selling Boer Goat Buck

High selling buck was Starman *ENNOBLED*, lot 51. This fine buck has one of the best production records in the business... his offspring have accumulated over 400 show points. He's on his way to Amsterdam, New York, with his new owner Doctor Rad. Dr. Rad paid $10,000 for this fine animal. He was also the high volume buyer with a total of 68 head purchased for $83,100. Dr. Rad, left in photo, shows off Starman *ENNOBLED*. With Dr. Rad are sale host Richard Parmer of Par 5 Ranch, and Rena Lynch. Ms Lynch is the show fitter for Par 5 Ranch and managed the presentation of the goats to the buyers during the sale.,

High Selling Boer Goat Doe

The 2nd highest selling Boer doe, FSE Chelsea, was purchased by Boers Of Oak Grove. Shown with Chelsea, left to right, is Keith Barry representing the buyer, Richard Parmer and Rena Lynch
Boers Of Oak Grove also purchased the high selling doe, PARM Mary Alice.

Richard and Mary Lou Parmer and the guest consignors expressed their appreciation of the buyers and attendees and invited them back for future sales. The high quality of the animals at this sale will certainly increase the attendance at the next.
