2003 is the second year the North Florida Fair has held an open Boer Show and a Youth Meat Goat show. Ken and Priscilla Weaver are working hard to keep their exhibitors happy and allowed exhibitors to check in late in order to attend the Dothan, AL Peanut Festival boer show on Friday and still make the N. FL Fair. Ann Winkler and Julie Brown were co-secretaries of the show. Judge Joe Kimmel spent a lot of time and exhibited infinite patience in a class aimed primarily at teaching young children the ins and outs of goat showmanship. In spite of some truly exhausted exhibitors, the show went smoothly and good sportsmanship was displayed by all in attendance. Next years goal is to have more children and goats in the youth portion of the show. In addition, the dress code of white shirts and black pants has been dropped for next year and we are scheduled to be in the "goat barn" !!
