Robert Hughes of White Oak Ranch comments "the Boer goat industry is growing at a rapid pace. A number of Boer goat production sales are starting to be held across the nation. In order to differentiate yourself as a producer it is necessary to offer superior bloodlines coupled with the desirable physical characteristics in goats demanded by customers. Producers must develop a reputation of breeding consistency and superiority in these areas for long term success. I am very excited to partner with both Ron Bates (Bates Boer Goats) and James Agnew (Agnew Boers). These producers are committed to breeding superior animals and have demonstrated their depth of quality through their records in the show ring. The offerings we have put together for this sale will represent some of the best Boer goat stock offered for sale anywhere in the United States in 2004."
The Blockbuster Boer Goat Sale will offer approximately 70 head of Boer goats with a number of the does of breeding age being bred and sonogrammed pregnant. In addition Bates Boer Goats will be offering BBR Boss for sale. Boss was the Reserve Grand Champion Buck at the 2004 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Both of these outstanding bucks are multiple champion winners and recognized as among some of the best bucks in the Boer goat industry today.
