The 2004 American Royal Livestock Show unveiled the 4-H/FFA market Goat show October 22-24 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ryan Diefenbach and Lauren Elder, members of the Missouri Junior Boer Goat Association, attended the inaugural event. There were approximately 35 head of market goats and kids from 9 different states, and as far away as California, attending the show. Eddie Holland from Texas judged the showmanship and market classes. Showmanship was held at 4PM on Saturday the 23rd and the winners are as follows:

The market goat show began at 8AM on sunday the 24th. Judge Holland commented on the deep quality of the animals in the show and told the officials from the American Royal to expect greater numbers next year.
