A recent literary offering by Allison Mitcham and Stephanie Mitcham challenges the reader to better interpret the world around them.
This well-illustrated childrens' book chronicles the visit of Jason, a city boy, to his Aunt Abby's farm where his actions put him at odds with the resident Boer buck.
Through prodding by his Aunt he learns to cope and eventually to understand the farm animals and to "read" their behavior.
This book should be well received by mid-age children. Some of the terminology and writing style will challenge younger kids (human) but with assistance from more accomplished readers they will grow in their reading abilities while they learn a valuable lesson in life.
